The Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region IV has provided practical training on theoretical and practical content regarding initial first aid for fishermen. Some common situations when operating at sea include: First aid for drowning, How to stop bleeding and bandage wounds, First aid for broken arms, First aid for stroke crew members, etc. Practice first aid content. These are very important and useful contents, especially for the offshore fishing industry, which has many potential risks and dangers in production activities at sea. On the other hand, MRCC also provided detailed instructions on communication channels for fishermen in emergency cases of risky & dangerous situations at sea.
The Organizing Committee gave meaningful gifts supporting fishermen to equip additional life-saving equipment on fishing vessels, such as national flags, personal life jackets, buoys, documents, posters containing helpful information and knowledge, etc.
The Vietnam Tuna Association is very grateful and appreciates the support from Resources Legacy Fund (RLF) for actively contributing to a series of activities promoting good responsible practices and minimizing bycatch species in tuna FIP project. Funding from RLF has contributed to helping the project succeed./.
