On 21/02/2020, VINATUNA had a meeting with ILO for discussing activities and professional issues on Corporate Social Responsibility. In parallel with the sustainable fishing issues of tuna fisheries, the social responsibility issues in the supply chain are now getting more and more attention and requests from international markets!
Therefore, in order to support individuals and organizations in the tuna chain to be better prepared, before the next requirements from the markets. VINATUNA has been making connections with prestigious organizations around the world and preparatory steps to implement programs to support and improve "Social Responsibility" in the tuna chain in Vietnam.

On February 21, 2020, VINATUNA had a meeting with ILO (International Labour Organization) to discuss upcoming programs and also specialized issues.
Through the meeting, VINATUNA and ILO agreed that there would be technical/ professional support in the process of implementing the social responsibility status assessment in the skipjack tuna chain and implementing capacity building programs on social responsibility. also looking forward to the next cooperation in 2020 and the future.
In 2020, VINATUNA and OXFAM will implement the project "Public Private Partnership for Social Responsibility inclusion Vietnam SKJ FIP".
We hope to get attention, participate and support from the authorities, tuna processing company, fishermen community, etc. For the common goal is to develop the tuna industry in a sustainable and long-term way, sharing benefits to everyone.
