Last week, under the organization of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), ministries, fisheries authorities, the Vietnam Tuna Association, and enterprises came together to analyze and identify issues, gaps, and shortcomings in Vietnam’s fisheries regulations compared to the requirements of the PSMA. The working group collaborated to learn, exchange ideas, and share perspectives to develop strategies and roadmaps for improving the legal framework, institutions, and practical implementation to better align with Vietnam’s production and management practices.
A heartfelt thank you to the FAO for its invaluable support in promoting sustainable fishing practices and combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing in Vietnam.
