On October 2, 2025, Vietnam’s skipjack tuna purse seine fishery was officially recognized by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) as eligible to participate in the MSC Improvement Program (MSC–IP). This milestone highlights the collective efforts of regulatory agencies, fishery organizations, businesses, and fishermen on the journey toward achieving the internationally renowned MSC eco-label for sustainable seafood.
To commemorate this meaningful event, the Vietnam Tuna Association cordially invites you to attend:
🎉 KICKOFF MEETING OF THE MSC IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR VIETNAM’S SKIPJACK TUNA FISHERY

📍 Venue: Conference Hall, DAPHOVINA Hotel, 32 Bac Son Street, Bac Ward, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province
Participants: Representatives from the Directorate of Fisheries and Fisheries Surveillance, the Research Institute for Marine Fisheries, the Southern Marine Fisheries Research Sub-Institute, the Vietnam Fisheries Society, provincial Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Sub-Departments of Fisheries from coastal provinces engaged in skipjack tuna fishing, leaders of seafood processing and canned-tuna exporting companies, together with fishermen involved in Vietnam’s tuna value chain.
